ABOUT PEMBROKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Principal's Welcome:

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!  We are pleased to welcome two new teachers to Pembroke this year.  Karin Lingley will be teaching Grade PreK/K and Bobbi Tardiff will be teaching Grades 7 & 8.  Both of these teachers bring plenty of experience and several years of working with children to our school.  The No Child Left Behind Act requires us to also inform all parents about teacher certification.  I am pleased to report that all of our teachers hold the necessary Maine State Certification to teach your children.  Teachers continue to seek additional coursework in specialized fields.  These classes keep teachers current with the state and federal expectations.  I am also pleased to report that our school will be a school wide Title 1 funded school this year.  There will be additional opportunities for parents to be involved with math and reading activities.  There will be two additional events this year including a math games night and a literacy strategies night for parents to attend.  We will also focus on improving our communications with technology and will have updated school website resources.

Sincerely,
