Welcome to Ms. Tinker's online classroom!
Welcome to the 3rd and 4th Grade class webpage :)
The class finished the report on an African American. Reports will come home Friday along with the woman's report students completed earlier.
Congratulations to Orion Cushing for winning a bike by reading books for the Books to Bikes program.
Dates to remember: Wednesday, June 6, is 8th grade graduation. Friday, June 8, is Roque Bluffs. Monday, June 11, we travel to the Veteran's Home in Machias to sing patriotic songs for Flag Day.
I hope students will continue to read nightly throughout the summer. I have a book for each child as a gift from me. Please encourage your child(ren) to read. I have noticed a need to beef up the vocabulary of the students. Also, please quiz your child on the multiplication facts over the summer. Not knowing the facts can be a huge obstacle when math time rolls around in September.
Third graders finished the chapter and took the chapter test. We have a few days to begin the chapter on volume. Fourth graders are nearly finished with their chapter. Hopefully, they can finish it by Thursday. I will be sending home the math journals as well as the cursive workbook.
